Stewards' reasoning
The Stewards reviewed video evidence of the incident and determined that the car was released into the path of the approaching Grosjean. The cars made minor contact as a result. The Stewards did note that the driver Leclerc drove at an acute angle to avoid a tyre changer in the next pit and had no opportunity to drive in the merge area.
