- The stewards reviewed video evidence and determined that at turn 5 on the first lap, Sainz was taking a wide, traditional racing line; Hulkenburg took an inside line to pass. Sainz would not have reasonably seen the car on his inside and moved aggressively towards the apex of turn 5.
