Stewards' reasoning
The Stewards reviewed video and timing evidence. Hamilton left the track at the exit of turn 1 while being alongside Sainz, gained momentum off track and ended up in front of Sainz on the approach to turn 3, thereby gaining an advantage. However, the driver gave back the position to Sainz subsequently, therefore no further action is taken as no lasting advantage was gained.
