- Stewards' reasoning
- The Stewards reviewed positioning/marshalling system data, video and in-car video evidence. Although the additional guidelines issued by the Stewards on October 31 advised that a car leaving the track at turn 1 after a Restart should yield the position by Turn 4, the fact that the correct positions were achieved by turn 5 confirms to the Stewards that no further action is required. In leaving the track Gasly did not gain a position, in fact the car ultimately lost a position to Lawson. The minor contact between the cars does not require penalization to either driver.
