F1 drive-through penalty

What a drive-through penalty means, when it escalates, and every one on record.

The driver must drive through the pit lane at the speed limit without stopping, then rejoin - costing roughly 20 seconds, more than a 10-second penalty.

When it escalates
If the race ends before it can be served, a 20-second time penalty is added to the driver’s race time instead.
