F1 stop-and-go penalty

What a stop-and-go penalty means, when it escalates, and every one on record.

The driver stops in their pit box for a set time (usually 10 seconds) with no work allowed on the car, then rejoins - the harshest in-race penalty short of disqualification.

When it escalates
If it cannot be served before the race ends, a 30-second time penalty is added instead.
